Friday 4th August 1972

I was pretty whacked after the early start this morning and traipsing up and down the Wester Hailes stairs. When I got back to 6/2 I just drew the curtains and went straight back to bed until two o’clock in the afternoon. 

A bunch of us then went down to the Commie Pool but it wasn’t very good. An evening in watching telly including ‘The Virginian’; ‘It’s A Knockout’ then I’m going to watch ‘Dave Allen At Large.’

Sunday 25th July 1971

Hurrah - no milk today; that's not strictly true as I always have mixed emotions when I've given up a job. I still awoke early but got back to sleep for a wee while. I enjoyed a good Sunday dinner. Iain and Ali Douglas are away to the Commie Pool (Commonwealth Swimming Pool). Meanwhile I've been looking out for these girls coming up; typical Retep - when they did arrive I ended up not speaking to them. I was far too self-conscious; annoying or what?
