Imp-ressed? Not really.

One summer evening was unexpectedly warmer than normal.

Our grandparents visited Ireland and the Dublin Horse Show on two occasions, the second time in 1968.

For we three children we received some lovely presents with my sister getting a little gardening set including a charming little plastic watering can whilst I was given a copy of the 'Lady and the Tramp' storybook record and a Dublin badge to be sewn on to my anorack.

However there was a less than a cool welcome return for them around the summer of either 1965 or 1966. Gaga had loaned his car, a Hillman Imp, to our father. Unfortunately it went up in flames outside 6 Oxgangs Avenue; back in the day fortunately there were fewer cars parked there but unfortunately the car wasn't insured.
